Advanced Scene Study (for Actors), with Kelley Hinman.
For trained/experienced actors only. Interview required.
Modeled upon the teaching of Robert Lewis, this month-to-to-month class will be structured to include scene analysis where actors make active choices based upon the writers’ intent, incorporating style and character elements to create believable, nuanced performances. Meeting once a week for four weeks, actors will work with Kelley on selected scenes in preparation for professional filming during the fifth week.
This course is offered year-round, for approximately 2 hr a week for 5 sessions, pending student interest and availability. The cost of the 5 weeks (including footage of scenes for reel usage) costs $225 (not valid for an additional ALUMNI discount). The next scheduled offering of this course in 2024 starts Sunday June 16th, 1:30- 3:30 pm for 5 weekly sessions (skipping June 30 and July 7th).
