Music Video Production- with local musician and filmmaker, Blake Talley.
Are you interested in creating a music video for yourself or someone you know? Have an appreciation for music and a love of film, and would love to combine the two?
Join Blake Talley in this new One-Day workshop as he discusses the difference between a live music performance video and a music video using numerous examples, including his own work. He will explore examples what makes a "great" music video to what makes the "worst", as well as discuss various kinds of music videos, from lip-synced and band or artist focused, to short films as music videos, and everything in between.
Talley will give an overview on how to film live performances, whether or not to use green screen, and when to think outside the box. In addition, Talley will discuss lyric videos, as well as how musical artists can make their own easy video.
Join us for Music Video Production Sunday May 7th, 2023, from 1-5 pm. The cost of this unique offering is $55 (or just $44 for Alumni), with a few seats available as a sliding scale. Email us to request a Sliding Scale Seat.
***Newly added! There will be time devoted to a guest musician who will be the subject of a live videography session! Join cinematographer Brad Hoover in this hands-on demonstration on how to light and film the performance! ***
Blake Talley, an independent filmmaker, musician, and graduate of Colorado Film School, brings his experience in directing, writing, shooting and editing to this exclusive seminar. Blake recently completed filming a docu-series and has extensive training as an ABC news photojournalist, in addition to 15 years of independent videography, narrative film, and music production.
